Getting Involved
Supporting Our Cause
One-Time Donation
Thanks to the support of people like you, since 1979 The Center has helped over 30,000 people suffering from domestic abuse and sexual assault. Last year we helped 780 people with domestic abuse, provided 3,094 shelter nights, and 3,101 support services. 100% of your donation goes to ensuring these services continue to be provided.
The Circle of Hope
The best way you can support our cause is by becoming a monthly donor to our Circle of Hope. This low-cost way of supporting The Center provides ongoing support for critical necessities we provide to clients. This includes food, diapers, clothing for children, and other basic essentials families need to be safe.

Where Your Donations Are Used
Emergency Services
We provide crisis intervention services when they are needed. These include food for hungry children, shelter for families escaping abusive households, clothing, gas to be able to take children to school, and anything else our families need to be safe.
Group Counseling
Abusive behavior is learned and can be unlearned. The Positive Solutions program provides a safe environment for clients to accept responsibility for their actions, develop skills to respond to conflict more productively, and gain additional insight by hearing about others’ experiences.
Child Support Services
The Center is leading the way with the Second Generation Program. This innovative program is aimed at healing children who experience violence in the home and breaking the cycle of abuse. Developed by professionals at the Center, the Second Generation Program is peer-reviewed, with an emphasis on stopping the intergenerational transmission of violence.
Peer Abuse Prevention Classes
TEACH is a peer abuse (bullying) prevention program that equips students with alternatives to abusive behavior in order to build a healthier foundation for relationships later in life. We seek to provide a safe environment where students can learn skills that foster a culture of active bystanders and assertive behavior where they learn the power of standing up for themselves and others.
